Healing & Preventing Burnout

In helping professions, burnout isn’t simply about exhaustion! It’s often a sign of being under-resourced in systems that demand more than they sustain.

This workshop invites professionals, leaders and teams in the mental health, community & social service, advocacy and non-profit sectors to explore what burnout really means and how to move toward ethical, sustainable practice.

Grounded in the work of Brené Brown, Emily & Amelia Nagoski, Vikki Reynolds, adrienne maree brown, and Gabor Maté, this interactive session reframes burnout as both a systemic and spiritual concern, not a personal failing!

Together, we explore:

  • The difference between burnout, moral distress, and spiritual pain, and why sustainability is a collective responsibility.

  • Shame and self-criticism as barriers to self-compassion and recovery.

  • How trauma, chronic stress, and social injustice shape our capacity to stay present in our work.

  • Practical, evidence-informed strategies for completing the stress cycle and cultivating collective care.

  • The role of pleasure, power and boundaries in sustaining hope, creativity and integrity in the work.

Participants leave with tools for restoring balance — in their bodies, relationships and organizations — and a renewed sense of connection to their purpose, community and ethics of care.

Each option reflects a different level of preparation, facilitation and relational labour — and pricing is structured accordingly.

Across all formats, my work is grounded in trauma-informed practice, anti-oppressive frameworks, and years of clinical, organizational, and leadership experience and training.

My intention is to offer learning that is ethically held, practically useful, and respectful of the emotional complexity of this work.

1-hour virtual WEBINAR

  • Accessible rate = $850 + HST

  • Standard rate = $1050 + HST

  • Resourced rate = $1300 + HST

Prices include facilitation + needs consultation + planning & customization of resources.

3-hour virtual WORKSHOP

  • Accessible rate = $1600 + HST

  • Standard rate = $1830 + HST

  • Resourced rate = $2100 + HST

Prices include facilitation + needs consultation + planning & customization of lesson plan, relevant case scenarios & resources.
