FEES & BILLING

 

  • COUNSELLING:

    • 1:1 Counselling = $180 / hr

      • This fee allows me to continuously offer $100 discounted spots to make mental health counselling accessible for students and unemployed / precariously employed folks.

    CONSULTING:

    • 1:1 Clinical Consultation = $180 / hr + HST

    • Group-based / Team-based Clinical Consultation = $250 / hr + HST

    • 1:1 Leadership Coaching = $200 / hr + HST

    • Virtual Workshop Facilitation = $500 / hr + HST

    • Listening Circle Facilitation = $375 to $500 + HST

    • Consultation on Organizational / Team Needs = $180 / hr + HST

    • Organizational Document Review & Analysis = $150 / hr + HST

    • Organizational Document Preparation / Creation / Customization = $150 / hr + HST

    I provide short-term (minimum 6 sessions) and long-term services.

    Services are provided through a secure & encrypted online meeting / video portal or by phone.

    NOTE the Cancellation Policy:

    The full session fee is billed if sessions are missed or cancelled with less than 48-hours notice.

  • For individuals accessing 1:1 Counselling, Leadership Coaching or 1:1 Clinical Consultation independently, Payment Options include:

    • Direct Deposit (from a bank account)

    • Credit Card (processed through Stripe and compatible with American Express, Discover, Mastercard, Visa).

    In order to pay for your sessions using a valid credit card OR to approve direct deposits from your bank account, please sign into your secure online client account, click on BILLING, and enter in your banking information.

    Your banking information will be encrypted, secure and confidential.

    On my end, I can only see the type of credit card or bank account that you’ve registered and the last 4 digits of your card or account number.

    I’ll be able to quickly process a credit card payment or direct deposit payment for you, after each session, and email you the digital receipt.

    I DON’T bill insurance companies directly. You can use your digital receipts to seek reimbursement from your insurance company. 

    *If you don’t have insurance, you may save your digital receipts and claim counselling / psychotherapy services (not professional consultation services) as a medical expense, when filing your annual Canadian income tax return.

    *If you are a professional in private practice, clinical consultation may be claimed as a business expense, when filing your annual Canadian income tax return for your private practice.

    **Speak to an accountant to learn more about the specific requirements and to receive personalized guidance and support.

    Organizations and Professional Teams receiving Individual Clinical Consultation, Leadership Coaching, Group Clinical Consultation or Workshops for their staff and leaders:

    You will receive a digital invoice via email, at the end of each month.

    Your organization / professional team must make a full payment within 10 business days of receiving your invoice, using one of these payment options:

    • Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)

    • Wire Transfer

    • Credit Card (please register a valid organizational / business credit card on your organization’s client account on Owl Practice)

    • mailed Cheque (please email me to ask for the mailing address)

    Once I’ve received your payment, you will be emailed a digital receipt within 2 business days.
